“As Special Needs Parents, we don’t have the the power to make life “fair”, but we do have the power to make life joyful.”

A Message from Matthew’s Family:

Matthew is almost 4 years old and resides in Chicago, IL. Matty likes music, cake and splashing in baths!

Matthew loves being entertained by his two big brothers and his twin sister. He recently in the past 6 months has been on the move and crawling everywhere getting into everything and lights up when he hears music! Matthew was diagnosed with KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder (KAND) in March 2017. Since then our family, friends and therapists have all connected to an amazing support group and doctors that we can turn to. We began to notice Matty’s delays at 7 months old and started with Early Intervention Services such as occupational, speech, developmental, developmental vision and physical therapies to help with low muscle tone, (hypotonia), speech and vision as he had an upward gaze.

Now almost 4 years old, Matty has made lots of progress despite all of his challenges and is so determined to get ahead. He is ready for Pedi-Wrap Leg Immobilizers for support and hoping it helps him to be able to walk someday! He is our light in nature who laughs easily and takes life as it comes; he bounces back with resilience!

Special Quotes We Love:

“Sometimes the things we can’t change end up changing us instead.”

“As Special Needs Parents we don’t have the the power to make life “fair,” but we do have the power to make life joyful.”

Love,
The Pantano Family
