A message from Josie’s family
Thank you for your friendship and support of Josie, our family, and the entire KIF1A community. We would be lost without you. Please feel free to read more about Josie’s story (below) and the wonderful work KIF1A.org is doing (below and elsewhere on this website). We understand well how difficult things are as we endure the tragic loss of life, suffering, and many other direct and indirect challenges posed by the current international health emergency. Recognizing that many may not be able to financially support KIF1A-related work at this time, we respectfully ask those that can to please consider supporting our efforts to fund the research, development, and testing of a treatment.
Since 2016, KIF1A.ORG has been working in close collaboration with Chung Lab at Columbia University Medical Center to do just that. There are a number of exciting opportunities to assist Dr. Chung and her lab’s work in the development of a treatment. KIF1A.ORG and Dr. Chung are pursuing several options to expedite research through several strategic partnerships. Funding this research will bring us much closer to finding and administering a treatment that can stop the progression of this condition and help Josie and her brothers and sisters in the KIF1A world. If you are able to contribute at this time, please donate below. 100% of Team Josie donations will be directed to these KIF1A research efforts for therapeutic development. Thank you.
