A message from Kirt’s family in the USA:
Kirt is a hardworking, happy, friendly young man! He enjoys making others laugh with his quick wit and his smile is contagious. He loves being with family & friends. He enjoys playing Skyjo, Uno, ping pong, swimming, horse-back riding and playing the Wii with his two older sisters or anyone that comes over. He really likes to study all kinds of rocks and gems, and has quite a few of them memorized. He also likes dot-to-dots and reading books.
Kirt was two years old when diagnosed with Autism and a severe peanut allergy. In 2022, his primary Dr. referred us to a neurologist, when he was fourteen, due to excessive falling and unnatural posture and walking gait. Later that year, the genetic report disclosed KIF1A . He goes to PT on a regular basis and has the best time while he’s there. He looks forward to PT and works extremely hard each time.
Kirt brings joy to everyone around him! He is a warrior and we will continue to fight for a cure for KIF1A.
